Mrs. Avnita Bir, Principal
We have been on a roll. The year 2009 has been a landmark year for our country, poised to grow at a 9% growth rate. At a time when the rest of the world is grappling with recessionary times, India has stood resolute and strong. Today we are a force to reckon with.
Closer home, there has been a similar story. With a new HRD Minister wanting to create history in education, and the CBSE introducing radical reforms, schools and educators have been forced to shed any comfort they might have had with the existing state. The education space is on the threshold of a new era and there are serious implications for all stakeholders. The changed environment demands that we get out of the shackles of our straitjacketed minds and re-examine the old premise on which we based our thoughts.
As educators, we have been experiencing the need for changed perspectives and fresh thought as we face new challenges with every successive batch of children. And so, last year, the school saw a host of activities geared towards coping with this new paradigm.
The future is exciting for educators like us who thrive on experimentation, innovation and growth. As we come to a close of this historic academic calendar, we look forward to renewed energies and vigor to face the challenges ahead.
As our students of Std. 12 and 10 write their Board exams, we all remember them in our prayers. Personally I heave a sigh of relief that this is the last time our children will be writing a Class 10 Board examination. |
