These are indeed exciting times for education and those who feel passionately about it. Our country is poised to take off into a new era on the education front and we are fortunate to be part of this new wave. With a dynamic HRD minister at the helm of affairs, green shoots have already started to show. Cynics may say that this is just the tip of the iceberg; I say at least it's a beginning. The good thing about a democracy is that there is debate, discussion, deliberation. The sad thing is that though we blame/curse the status quo, we do not support any change and are conditioned to accept only what we are used to.

Having had the opportunity to be part of the CBSE core committee on examination reforms, I have only one thing to say: "Things need to change. Do you want to be part of the change?"
