To imbibe and acknowledge cultural values and get familiar with our own backyard, children celebrated the Mughal day, a day which was a leaf out of History .Dressed as regal princes and princesses of the bygone era they eloquently voiced the tales of the ostentatious mughal era. The aroma of Mughal cuisine filled the air.
The Mughal era was deftly depicted by reveling the transition of the end of the royal era to the British rule in the form of clanic dances from Kathak to Ballroom.
Opulence of the Mughal era was combined with the sensitivity and heartening action taken to make a humble but significant contribution to our fellow beings less privileged than us.
So under the theme Who We Are and the inspiring unit of inquiry challenges risks and resilience children of PYP 5 made commendable actions. Ananth Narayan made a basket collecting books from the entire student with a slogan if you care share and the proceeds were given to IDF.
Divya, Aishwarya and Kaniska created pamphlets and raised money for an NGO they made greeting cards to raise money for the same. Internationalism was pursued zealously as cultural day was celebrated in the PYP 3, with children getting a peek into each others cultures, attire, festivals language and cuisines. |
