NIE NEWSPAPER MEET: AN INSIGHT INTO JOURNALISM

The Times of India NIE event pervaded the Prabhadevi auditorium, where it was held, with much insightful learning. The event started off with Mr. Aamir Khan, the honorable dignitary, gracing the stage to have Q & A session with the 100 budding journalists who were nominated from their respective schools/ Mr. Khan gave very valuable information to the students in an eloquent manner. After the Q & A session, the students took a quiz to determine the 30 students that would get selected from the 100. After the 30 get chosen, they get to go to the TOI head office where editors vigorously interview students to select Six "star correspondents" that would write for the NIE newspaper for one entire academic year. With such an intense level of competition and with such stars coming to teach the students, the six chosen journalists would certainly have their work cut out for them. Aditi Dhanu of IX-D qualified the round out of 800 students and went on the next stage of being interviewed for "star correspondents" round.
