The Oxford University press, a department of the university of Oxford, with an objective of excellence in education conducted a workshop by the ELT expert Prof. Jesudoss. This workshop covered the various aspects of teaching language skills, grammar, vocabulary and poetry and basic issues in testing and evaluation. This funfilled and enriching workshop was attended by all the primary staff. |

The PTA of Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School in association with Mr. Joe Alvares organized an enriching morning of ‘Renaissnace Rewind’ for students of Std VII and the entire staff. It exposed us to the golden history. The amazing unsights into the liver of Mozart, Leonardo da Vinci, Adolf Hitler, Gandhiji and A.P.J Abdul Kalam, through music made the process of learning history very entertaining. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The ‘Art Essentials’ Workshop – ICSE Schools Art Teachers’ Meet was hosted by Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School (ISC) on 16 and 17 April, 2009 within the school premises. It was novel platform for art teachers exchange of ideas, initiated by our Principal, Mrs. Norina Fernandes, to shoulder the responsibility of organizing this workshop upon AISM request. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Art team of the school headed by Mrs. Kairavi Irfan Ahmed, Mrs Mandira Mondal, Mrs. Rupa Haridas, Mrs. Jasmini Mody and Mr Chirag Panchal, worked day in and day out to make the meet a grand success. |

Right from the Rangoli and Toran at the entrance to the various activities organized for the art teachers – everything was meticulously planned to perfection. |

45 teachers from 26 ICSE schools participated and presented their ideas and skills. At the end of the two days, every teacher could carry home some beautiful art and craft articles, with a feeling of great satisfaction and achievement. |

A two-day seminar was held at J.W. Mariott for the heads and Senior teaching faculty of Podar Education Complex, Santacruz. The workshop titled, ‘Leadership, an Evolving Vision’ was held on 08 and 09 April and the resource person was Ms. Irma Tyler-Wood, from Harvard University. It was and enriching experience for all our faculty at Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School (ISC) |
